Through a position with Kurtz Construction Company, applicants will have the opportunity to build and implement skills related to roofing, carpentry, masonry, and exterior preservation while taking part in significant roofing and preservation projects across the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Kurtz Construction is primarily a roofing company that focuses on medium- to large-scale roofing projects, with an emphasis on projects of a historic nature requiring specialized skills. During these projects, our crews – comprised of a Foreman and one to two Assistants/Helpers – use their knowledge of roofing, carpentry, and masonry to complete the projects to the high standards of our customers and our company.
Work is performed at elevations and on ladders, scaffolding, and sloped roofs.
Must be willing and able to comply with OSHA safety guidelines.
Applicants must also be willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and carry heavy items to and from the worksite.
Previous experience in roofing, carpentry, masonry, historic restoration, etc. recommended but not required.
Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Applicants must be punctual, reliable, and have a good work ethic.
Kurtz Construction is seeking qualified Foremen with previous roofing experience to oversee crews working on Roofing & Exterior Preservation projects. Roofing and Construction experience (5+ years) is required, soldering experience and interest in historic preservation / architectural conservation strongly favored.
